IELTS Writing
It’s so, so, so, so, so, so, sooooo important to understand the meaning of each question in both writing task 1 and task 2 (Roth, 2017). Why?
Because I always write it all wrong.
If a simple task such as understanding a question was failed to be accomplish, how about understanding a heart of a man?
Kidding. Anyway.
Grammar & Tenses
Aside of IELTS writing task, my biggest #ehm buddy is grammar, and any kind of tenses.
“Nobody’s perfect except present and past perfect…”.
Actually, Uni already make it easier with this note:

In addition, I also note some feedbacks for 2000 words essay.

- No additional opinion in task one, and task two’s conclusion must answered the question.
- Don’t let them trick you baby, the way any cardgames do.
- Don’t forget to capture the two main points that being the main star of the show.
- Use sophisticated transition such as, to begin with, as well as, commonly acknowledge, on the other side of the table, its counterparts, it consider, in general, one siggestion, etc. I guess you have to memorize it.

- Specific time
- Now, today, everyday, usually: Present Simple (S+V) / Progressive (S+to be+v-ing)
- Last two weeks, yesterday: Past Simple (S+V2) / Progressive (S+ to be+ v-ing)
- Next week, tomorrow, near future: Future Simple (S+will+V1) / Progressive (S+will+be+v-ing)
- No specific time
- Since, duration, yet: Present Perfect
- For: had
- By the time: V2
- When/afer/before: perfect
Essay
In addition, I also note some feedbacks for 2000 words essay.
- Thesis Statement
- Clear, no errors
- Include supporting points
- Combine it with an outline
- In-text-citations
- Use the person’s last name
- Every paragraphs should have them
- How far back/forward do they apply?
- Journal Articles: give reference page and volume & issue
- The argument should be balanced with counter-argument
- Take into consideration of your audience, don’t make them google-it to understand your paper.
- Proofreading 10 times!
